Irina Alferova: Kazan is a very Beautiful City

As a part of the 14th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, a meeting with a Russian actress Irina Alferova was held today. She told about her career, favourite and crucial films and new trends in the field.

Milyausha Aituganova (the Executive Director of the Festival and the Director of Tatarkino) presented the honourable guest a necklace made by local craftsmen at the very beginning of the meeting. Irina Alferova appreciated its beauty and traditional motifs of the jewelry.

One of the leading topics of the conversation with the actress was her memories about her work with such well – known colleagues as Oleg Yankovsky, Sergei Martynov, Yevgeny Evstigneev and, in particular, Alexander Abdulov, with whom she worked in theatre plays as well.

‘I realized that someone had been leading me throughout my whole life’, she said, remembering how a happy occasion helped her to enter the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts and then to join Lenkom Theatre and how she was invited to play the roles against her will, which later turned out to be a success. The same situation was with the role of Dasha in Walking in Pain. The participants of the meeting watched fragments from this film, as well as from The Trap, With Favourite Do not Leave and Alice Fox.

Irina Alferova announced the release of Teacher 2 with her participation. She also shared the information about new roles in performances and her future visits to Kazan. ‘Kazan is a very beautiful city’, admitted the actress, concluding the meeting.
