A 10-year-old orphan child, Salim, is dreaming of seeing his mother. Together with Samad – a gambler and his teacher’s husband – he sets off on a journey. By an old ‘Moskvich car,’ they cross Tajikistan from north to south, go through a series of adventures, and reach a mountain village. However, for Daler, this journey turns out to be a challenge that he was not ready for.
