Subtle Meanings

The cast of the Nizhny Novgorod Youth Theatre is rehearsing the play “The One Who Made a Miracle.” In their quest for authenticity, the actors find themselves behind the scenes of blindness and deafness. They are drawn into the real world of a boy named Petya, his mother, and his teacher. Scenes from the play about the education of a deafblind child unexpectedly resonate with real life, but reality is always more complex and profound than fiction.
