The award “For the dialogue of cultures in the Islamic world” at KIMFF-2022 will be handed in by the Strategic vision group “Russia – Islamic world”

The films included in the program “Russia – Islamic world”, which will be presented to the audience during the XVIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, have already became known. Traditionally, the program aims at showing cultural diversity of the countries included in this group.

This year the non-competition part includes the works of filmmakers from Egypt, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan and Russia. In addition, the audience will be shown the co-production of Iran and Afghanistan.

“The program is composed of the value junctions on which the cultures of these countries are based. It should be noted that the variability of these value orientations is quite high. The heroes’ stories will deepen us into the whirlpool of life collisions which will be shown through inner values and orientations”, tells the chairman of the selection committee of KIMFF Nina Kochelyaeva.

She pointed out that the keynote of films are such categories as love, friendship, family which unite people on a planetary scale.

The XVIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival will take place from September 7 to 11 with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and in the partnership with the strategic vision group “Russia – Islamic world”.
