Jury of XXI Kazan International Altyn Minbar Film Festival

1.     Resul Pookutty (India) – chairman of the jury, an Indian film director, sound producer, and sound designer. Together with Richard Pyke and Ian Tapp, he got an Oscar for the best sound design in the film Slumdog Millionaire. Currently, he is a member of the Executive Committee at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscar committee), the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) and CAS (Cinema Audio Society) of America.

2.     Mohammad Ali Sajadi (Iran) – one of the prominent Iranian filmmakers – made more than 70 films.

3.     Mohammed Abdulla Al-Ajmi (Sultanate of Oman) – the President of the Oman Film Society, a cultural leader. Member of the Arabian Artists Union. Member of the Script Approval Committee of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture of the Sultanate of Oman. CEO of Silver Lens Production.

4.     Natalya Gugueva (Russia) – Russian documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, producer. Multiple winner of the national LAUREL award (for documentaries Kostya Tszyu. To be nuber one!; Timur. A Story of the Last Flight; Afterburner. Return). Two-times winner of the TEFI Televesional Award (Vladymyr Vysotsky and Marina Vladi. The Last Kiss – Best screenplay, Best director).

5.    Wu Honglian (China) – alumni of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute of 2000 (the first alumni of the Animation faculty). Right after graduation he joined the largest animation company, Global Digital Media Technology Research (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. He has successfully held the following positions in the company: head of the modeling department, art director, executive director, project director and manager, and professional committee director. Currently, he is artistic director of this company.

6.     Magdy Ahmed Ali (Egypt) – prominent Egyptian filmmaker, actor, and screenwriter. Alumni of the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo.

7.     Chioma Ude (Nigeria) – the Nigerian film industry leader, founder and executive director of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

8.     Sergei Strusovski (Russia) – Russian producer, director, screenwriter, head of the Animation Department at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, and a member of the Film Directors Guild of the Russian Federation.

9.     Rano Shodieva (Uzbekistan) – Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan,. Head of the “Center for Youth and Children with Disabilities” established under the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.

10.   Jay Abello (Philippines) - is a documentary filmmaker, producer, and director of photography. His filmography contains about 30 films.

NETPAC jury

1.      Nada Azhari Gillon (France) - Member of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC), the Union of Film Journalists of FRANCE (UJC), the Lumiere Academy in France.

2.     Sergei Anashkin (Russia) – film expert, NETPAC member.

3.     Mansur Giliazov (Russia, The Republic of Tatarstan) - playwright, writer, screenwriter, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, winner of the Gabdulla Tukai State Award.
