Sergey Lavrentyev, Programme Director and Danny Glover, a special guest of the Kazan Muslim Film Festival 2018

Sergey Lavrentyev, a Russian film critic and a member of Nika Russian Academy of Cinema Arts, is to be the Programme Director of the Kazan Muslim Film Festival 2018. Previously, he had been chairing the selection committee of the festival.

At the same time, Nargiz Nureeva, a Russian script writer, has joined the selection committee, which includes Ivan Forgacs, a Hungarian film critic, and Sergey Anashkin, a Russian film critic.

Danny Glover, an American actor, film director and public activist, and Emmanuil Vitorgan, a Russian actor, were announced as special guests of the 2018 festival.

The 14th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival will be held from 5 to 11 September 2018 and will bring together professionals from Europe, Asia and Arab States.

Currently, the 14th edition of the festival has received over 200 entries from Egypt, Turkey, Iran, India, China, Iraq, USA, Greece, Germany, Jordan, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The entries are accepted until 1 June 2018.
