Selim Bayraktar (Magnificent Century) Revealed the Secrets of Acting

The creative meeting with Selim Bayraktar, an actor and the star of the Magnificent Century Turkish TV series was held at the 15th Kazan Muslim Film Festival. The creative meeting was held in Riviera Complex and gathered a full hall.

The artist revealed several secrets of acting. He noted that the fear of stage disappears with experience: ‘The more we know, communicate with people and gain life experience, the more confident we become’, said Selim Bayraktar, adding that he is currently preparing for new roles: ‘First of all, books provide us an inexhaustible knowledge source. I also try to acquire as many skills as possible, for example, last year I learned to stand on my hands. This year I tried to ride a unicycle’. The actor said that often in the production of serials, it is difficult to have time to prepare for a role: ‘You start shooting right away, so more skills you have, the faster you can get into a role and improve your acting’.

Selim Bayraktar is known in Russia as an actor of the ‘Magnificent Century’ series on the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The participants asked whether he watched the entire series. Selim Bayraktar replied that he watched all the series, and this is an important part of his work, including the work on the mistakes.

At the end of the creative meeting, the organizers of the festival presented Tatar sweets to the Turkish actor.
