Today, the guests of the 15th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival participated in the 11th Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2019 International Economic Summit.
The large-scale event was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov; the State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan, UNESCO Special Envoy for Intercultural Dialogue, Mintimer Shaymiev; the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ramazan Abdulatipov; a Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Ilyas Umakhanov; and a special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on organizations of Muslim states, Konstantin Shuvalov.
Rustam Minnikhanov began his speech with the announcement of greetings on behalf of President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. In the greeting, in particular, it was noted that Muslim countries are Russia's traditional partners in promoting dialogue between different civilizations and religions for ensuring security and stability at the regional and global levels.
The President of Tatarstan noted that KazanSummit was held for the first time at the Kazan Expo, highlighting that it is also the first time, when Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is held in conjunction with this event.
Then, within the framework of the business programme of the festival, Stanislav Yershov presented 7 Days Film international project, which
combines the features of a mobile film laboratory and mobile film campuses. The project aims to promote the touristic and investment attractiveness of Tatarstan as a unique cine-track.
Moreover, the business programme of the festival also included the presentation of KINODANZ film company. It is a full-cycle film production holding, producing a high-quality full-length films in the genres of action, fantasy and adventure. All projects of the company are focused both on Russian and international markets and are shot with the involvement of leading Hollywood stars: for instance, their first film, Beyond Reality, was with the participation of Antonio Banderas. The company plans to cooperate with Tatarstan and open its production in the Republic.
